Scope and Contents
This collection consists of William C. Ehrhardt's files regarding his representation in diocesan legal maters. Records were transferred to the archives after Ehrhardt's tenure as diocesan legal counsel, and officially accessioned on 16 Nov. 2009. Materials include correspondence, notes, administrative papers, plats, deeds, titles, wills, contracts and agreements regarding property purchases, sales, rentals, transfers, and disputes; construction and repair; tax exemption status; St. Francis Community Hospital; admittance to the City Orphan Home; personal injury lawsuits; the National Diocesan Attorneys Associaton; and a 1969 anti-trust litigation for overcharges on classroom text and library books sold to public and private institutions.
