Scope and Contents

This collection contains original and photocopied materials regarding diocesan parish boundaries. Records were compiled by Father William C. Burns during his tenure as diocesan archivist, 1974-1979, and officially accessioned on 18 Nov. 2009. Materials include correspondence regarding establishment and shifting of parish boundaries; meeting minutes; newspaper clippings regarding parish boundaries; and various notes regarding the establishment of parishes, dedication dates, physical addresses, and county populations. Materials are arranged alphabetically by subject.
