Scope and Contents

The blueprints and architectural drawings collection includes as-built drawings, blueprints, and topographical views of churches, schools, parish halls, other buildings, and land as needed by Catholic institutions throughout South Carolina.  The drawings depict building renovations and additions, new construction, floor plans, property boundaries, electrical and mechanical schematics, and site studies.

Biographical or Historical Information

The Diocese of Charleston is responsible for approving buildings and renovations for Catholic institutions in the state of South Carolina.  Each building project provides a copy of the building plans to the Office of Archives and Records Management.
