The bound volume appears to be a manuscript transcription of a publication referred to as the History of the Roman Catholic Church. The volume begins with page 214, chapter 21 - Society and the Human Mind. The transcription is unattributed and undated. The binding includes marble covers and edges and appears to be post 1840s in construction and design. Overall the item is in poor condition. The spine is missing, replaced with pressure sensitive adhesive tape. The pages are brittle and the ink has burned through many of the pages.
