Biographical or Historical Information
Women Religious in South Carolina (WRISC) evolved from a Diocese of Charleston Sisters Council from 1970 through 1975. WRISC is a representative body of the women religious in South Carolina and act as an agency of the Diocese of Charleston. The purpose of the WRISC is to help meet the needs of the Roman Catholic Church through prayer, mission, presence, and mutual support.
