Biographical or Historical Information
The vicar for religious serves as the bishop’s representative to the religious men and women serving in the Diocese of Charleston. He or she works as the bishop's liaison by attending diocesan, national, and international gatherings regarding issues affecting religious life and ministries. The vicar for religious also assists the religious men and women in the diocese with their various needs such as housing placement, negotiating contracts, and arranging employment.
